So, here it is. The first Monday Meal Plan post. If you’ve read my post on Meal planning here, you’ll have seen how vital I find it, and also how it saves money of course!
I do my food shopping on a Tuesday, so I like to have my meal plan for the week sorted and saved by Monday night. That way I’m not frantically trying to write one on a Tuesday morning in between the nursery run and breakfast for the kids! I must warn you, my meals are never overly exciting. I tend to cook things that are quick and easy, as the kids are normally in meltdown mode by the time I start preparing anything. Anyway, enough rambling, here you go:
Monday – Beef Stew
Tuesday – Chilli con Carne with tortilla wraps and salad
Wednesday – Chorizo Pasta Bake
Thursday – Slow Cooker Pulled Pork in Bread Rolls
Friday – Eggs, Beans and Homemade Potato Wedges
Saturday – Slimming World Big Mac Burger in a Bowl (found here, at the lovely Charlotte Taylor’s blog)
Sunday – Homemade Pizza with salad and potato wedges
So there we have it, i’ll be heading to Aldi tomorrow (see here for my post with top tips for shopping at Aldi), armed with my shopping list, praying they have a trolley available with straps, otherwise my toddler likes to perform a balancing act, insisting on standing on the trolley seat all the way around….
